Our Management Team

Casino Taxi is a proud third-generation family business. Casino’s management team works closely with dispatchers and drivers to ensure everyone has what they need to happily fulfill their duties. Because many of the staff has been a part of the organization for a long time, even those who aren’t actually family feel like they are. Casino recognizes years of service and quality of service several times of year, always finding a reason to celebrate the wonderful staff who make operations run so well.

Brian Herman, BComm

President & Operations Manager

Brian joined the Casino Taxi team in 2001 as Operations Manager, and as his first order of business helped facilitate the transition from voice based dispatch to in-vehicle computer and GPS dispatch. This drastically increased the operational efficiency of Casino Taxi’s dispatch process, allowing significantly more customers to be serviced with reduced wait times. He has continued to advance the business and industry since. Brian holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University, is a Director of the Canadian Taxi Association, and is the Dispatch Broker representative on the HRM Taxi & Limousine Liaison Group. Brian lives an active life with his wife Angie and their two children, who have them running from activity to activity and enjoying every minute.

Angie Herman, CPA, CMA, MBA

Director Finance & Administration

Paula George, CPA, CA

Vice President & Controller

Growing up in a business-minded family, Paula knew she wanted to work as a professional from an early age. After completing a commerce undergrad degree from Dalhousie University, she began her career with a local accounting firm where she earned her CPA, CA designation advising a variety of small owner-operated businesses.  More than 15 years ago she made the transition to Casino Taxi to join her brother and mother in the family business, and has been enjoying being part of such a dedicated team of individuals and ensuring the business runs smoothly. Paula and her husband Jason enjoy a busy life with their two boys, spending time at the local hockey or lacrosse rink and camping in the summer!

Jason George, MCSE

Director IT & Communications

From the first Atari, and the Apple 2, Jason always loved using and tinkering around with computers. After going to college to become an electronics engineer, as well as a stationary engineer, he still couldn’t pull himself away from computers. After a few years in the workforce, Jason decided to return to school and become a Microsoft Systems Engineer (MCSE). This led him to work with Capital Health and the IWK for six years before joining his wife Paula in the family business to play an integral role in the advancement in technology and computerization of Casino Taxi. Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, who are active in a number of sports that keep them all very busy.
